Estas son las ma-ña-ni-tas
Que cantaba_el rey David
Hoy por ser día de tu santo
Te las cantamos aquí
Despierta, mi bien, despierta
Mira que ya_ama-ne-ció
Ya los pajaritos cantan
La luna ya se metió
Qué linda_está la ma-ña-na
En que vengo_a saludarte
Venimos todos con gusto
Y placer a felicitarte.
El dí-a_en que tú naciste
Nacieron todas las flores
En la pila del bautismo
Cantaron los rui-se-ño-res.
Ya vi-ene_a-ma-ne-cien-do
Ya la luz del día nos dio
Levántate de ma-ña-na, mira que ya_a-ma-ne-ció

Let every good fellow, now join in our song,
Vi-ve la compagnie!
Success to each other, and pass it along,
Vi-ve la compagnie!
Vive la, vive la,
Vive l'amour.
Vive la, vive la,
Vive l'amour.
Vive l'amour, vive l'amour,
Vive la compagnie!!
2. A friend on your left, and a friend on your right,
Vive la compagnie!
In love and good fellowship, let us unite,
Vive la compagnie!
3. Now wider and wider, our circle expands,
Vive la compagnie!
We’ll sing to our comrades, in far away lands
Vive la compagnie!
4. With friends all around us, we’ll sing out our song
Vive la compagnie!
We’ll banish our troubles, it won’t take us long
Vive la compagnie!
5. Should time or occassion, compel us to part
Vive la compagnie!
These days shall forever, enliven our heart
Vive la compagnie!

There was a wild co-lo-ni_al boy, Jack Duggan was his name
He was born and raised in I-re-land in a place called Castle Maine
he was his father's only son, his mother's pride and joy
and dearly did his parents love the wild co-lo-ni_al, boy
Come all my hearties, we'll range the mountainside
Together we will plunder, together we will ride
We'll scour along the valleys and gallop o'er the plains
We'll scorn to live in slavery, bowed down in iron chains
In sixty-one this daring youth commenced his wild career
With a heart that knew no danger, no foeman did he fear
He held up the Beechworth mailcoach and he robbed Judge MacEvoy
Who trembled and gave up his gold to the wild colonial boy
One day as he was riding the mountainside along
Alistening to the little birds their pleasant laughing song
Three mounted troopers came in view - Kelly, Davis, and Fitzroy
And thought that they would capture him, the wild colonial boy
"Surrender now, Jack Doolan, you see there's three to one
Surrender now, Jack Doolan, you daring highwayman"
He drew a pistol from his belt and spun it like a toy
"I'll fight, but I won't surrender," said the wild colonial boy
He fired at trooper Kelly and brought him to the ground
And in return from Davis received a mortal wound
All shattered through the jaws, he lay still firing at Fitzroy
And that's the way they captured him, the wild colonial boy

1. O Paddy dear, and did you hear the news that's going round?
The Shamrock is forbid, by laws, to grow on Irish ground!
No more St. Patrick's day we'll keep his color last be seen;
For, there's a bloody law agin the Wearing of the Green!
2. I met with Napper Tandy, and he took me by the hand,
And he says: How's Poor Ould I_reland, and how does she stand?
She's the most distressful Country that ever I have seen:
they're hanging men and women for the Wearing of the Green!
And since the color we must wear, is England's cruel red,
Ould Ireland's sons will ne'er forget the blood that they have shed..
Then take the Shamrock from your hat, and cast it on the sod:
It will take root, and flourish still, tho' under foot 'tis trod.
When the law can stop the blades of grass from growing as they grow..
And when the leaves, in Summer time, their verdure does not show..
Then, I will change the color I wear in my cabbeen:
But, till that day, plaze God! I'll stick to the Wearing of the Green!
But if, at last, her colors should be torn from Ireland's heart
Her sons, with shame and sorrow, from the dear old soil will part;
I've heard whispers of a Country that lies far beyond sea,
Where rich and poor stand equal, in the light of Freedom's day!
O Erin! must we leave you driven by the tyrant's hand!
Must we ask a Mother's blessing, in a strange but happy land,
Where the cruel Cross of England's thralldom never to be seen:
But where, thank God! we'll live and die, still Wearing of the Green!
